Star Wars: The Old Republic – Why aren’t they listening to us? Contest!
I am seeing lots more disgruntled comments.. and a few good comments coming. One was a really long one but I wanted to address this:
Well, I suppose this all leads to the question of why aren’t they listening to us.
Why? Because it’s impossible to please everyone. It would be nice if they came out with the MMO and then release a single player version of it to please both sides, but that’s probably not going to happen. I’m not sure whether it would take too much time or too much money?
So, I thought i’d run a little contest. I’d like to hear people’s thoughts on why they aren’t listening to us. It seems like there are two sides to this dilemma, the side that wants and loves the idea of a MMO and the side just wants a normal KOTOR single player game. It’s kind of like how everyone wanted Multiplayer for The Force Unleashed… that didn’t happen.
Just reply to this thread with your reason why they’re not listening to us, the best answer and comment will win themselves a free Star Wars PC game of their choice!
Make sure you leave your email address! The winner will be contacted on December 15th and their free game will be shipped out the following day.
I was thinking of adding a forum as well for people to discuss our dilemma. Let me know if you’d be interested.

Personally, I loved KOTOR I AND II and at first i was extremely disappointed to hear TOR was gonna be a MMO. That being said i have played many MMOs in my day and became addicted to each one. I think that the devepopers from BioWare have been working on this idea for far too long to just up and change their minds about the entire structure of the game. They are out to challenge the likes of WOW and they feel they can do that with TOR. They know we fell in love with KOTOR and are saying that their storyline for TOR is what will substitute the one player campaign. Even after the game comes out, there will still be mixed comments and there will always be someone to challegne their decision and say they messed up. In my opinion, it seems like their minds are made up and instead of arguing over stuff like this, we should embrace this new adventure and see what we can do to help. Make suggestions that they might actually consider in order to make the best of what’s to come. Star Wars is Star Wars and therefore, it will be epically awesome.

Why arnt they listening? becuase THEY dont have to. THEY dont have to please anyone and THEY can do whatever they want. and what they want is to make an MMO because they never have befor and they would like to get in the market, and what better way to do it then with everyones favorit star wars game.
DacenVellia on Fri, 5th Dec 2008 10:27 am
I really hope they are listening to us. It’s simply a fact, that you loose a wide range of players, if you make a game for online use only. A single player TOR with the feature to MMO would satisfy everyone.
But if it turns out to be just as it seems, I have to admit, that I would have been more excited about KotOR3 the table tennis game than this MMO. I tried a few MMOs and they were just plain annoying. Just think about what it would be like in KotOR 1 to talk to Ajuur with 10 other players around you talking to Ajuur as well.

whats happened is ea bought bioware and i think there running the show and bioware just has its head up its ass rigt now who the hell would want to play a sonic rpg game the only person who would want to play that is a drunk hobo on drugs bioware dosent listen to anyone on their fourms and they think they know every thing i could make a better kotor 3 then they could
Jento Kal on Fri, 5th Dec 2008 12:20 pm
I believe they aren’t listening to us because they have their own agenda. They feel like they know what they need to do and to just do it. Also, i feel like a lot of people are putting down this idea of a KOTOR MMO because they are scared. For most star wars fans its not an obsession so they don’t want to be labeled as nerds or geeks or losers who play MMOs. At first, I was against the idea of it being an MMO but now that I have actually read about it and found out what the heck is going on, I find it rather interesting. I mean, the game is going to have more story-line than all the previous bioware games total. Who would not love all that compelling story. I digress, another reason they don’t listen to us is because they have been working on this already since 2006, before any of us knew it was going to be an MMO so now the gears are already turning and they don’t want to shut it down. I think people just need to quit being babies and realize that this may just be some awesome star wars!
Huggy Bear on Fri, 5th Dec 2008 6:52 pm
Honestly, i don’t understand why they would make a MMO. I along with other people don’t even play PC games. The previous KOTOR games were huge hits and people loved them, including me. I could understand that they might want to try something new. But, it all comes down to what the consumers want. I mean, were the ones that buy the games. So shouldn’t it be about what we want, not what they want.
Ethan on Fri, 5th Dec 2008 9:22 pm
If you really think about this MMO in depth, they could very well be listening to us. Even though the name MMO screams WoW to everyone that hears the name, BioWare did say that the very reason they thought this would be more successful than WoW was because they were going to make it in their own way and they were going to incorporate the idea of KoTOR into it. There will still be a single player “campaign” for players, that are still closely in touch the the original two KoTORs, to enjoy and be pleased with. But, at the same time, they will be able to strike up a new audience for the players that enjoy an MMO. Their thinking most likely lies on the lines of working both fields and creating a game this will appease all sides of the issue. Think about it, if you truely love KoTOR, you’re going to be trying this game out.
Ethan C on Fri, 5th Dec 2008 9:35 pm
I am the same Ethan from the previous comment. I thought I would like to add that they basically are making KoTOR 3.. They are just making so HUGE that it couldn’t be made into a singleplayer game without making 10 different versions. That would take an incredible amount of time AND money and would just be a waste. I enjoyed KoTOR because of the ability to take so many different paths… imagine what you could do when there are nearly infinite paths.. that was the aim of the MMO. Please, check it out for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdyqopE6lVI
I am just appauled that the so called “KoTOR fans” are so upset with this idea when they are doing to please everyone.

John on Sat, 6th Dec 2008 12:29 pm
They are not listening to us because they think they can do for Lucas Arts what WoW did for Blizzard. They worship the religion of MMO which believes in a creed that the path to “financial enlightenment” ends with a highly successful MMO.
They might not be wrong. Many gamers believe MMO and internet based networking is the future of gaming. They believe they can take a highly successful single player game and attach a multiplayer function to it and hit gold.
The problem with this theory is that its unprecedented. No company has ever taken a successful single player game and then released a MMO version of it and been successful. WoW comes from a breed of multiplayer internet-based games, not single player.
People enjoyed KOTOR because of the characteristics only a single player game can possess. A good story is not something that can be shared. A good story requires not simply a beginning, middle, and end but events and characters that shape the plot and the environment. KOTOR was a successful story, thus it became a successful game.
Lucas Arts thinks that if they simply take the best story developer, Bioware, they can utilize an MMO system without losing any of the fanbase of the single player version. I challenge this notion. The economy is bad, my bank account is diminishing, and I am not the only one experiecing the constraints. I do not have the resources to purchase a video game I might not like. I, and many young males like me, will not take a chance on a game whose very outlook is based on gaming qualities we dislike. I will not be purchasing Star Wars: The Old Republic.
If this comment happens to be your winner I have a request. Do not send me a game. Instead, send a copy of Knights of the Old Republic to Lucas Arts HQ in hopes of reminding them how to make a Star Wars game great.
tony on Sat, 6th Dec 2008 3:43 pm
i don’t know about u guys, but on bioware’s site there is an upcoming game that is coming out… i honestly think that’s gotta be kotor 3. look at the date of when the old republic is set in: centuries after kotor 3! honestly, any story writer is going to have to cover a lot of volume (yes, i know there was an interview with the bioware guy who said they wrote enough stories to cover kotor 3-6). but also think about the fact that bioware’s next game is for a console (look on the site) and the fact that this mmo is for computer only, there is no way a kotor game will be unavailable for a console. stay tuned guys, and keep your eyes peeled! don’t give up on kotor 3 just yet!

I like the idea of a mmorpg because i can play with my friends, but at the same time I am concerned with whatever monthly fee might be applied, and that it might ruin the feel of the game. There is a reason you see those stickers that say game experience might change during online play.
Noelle on Sun, 7th Dec 2008 11:49 am
The reason why they arnt listening is money based.
while KOTOR does have a very devoted fanbase, star wars in general has a MUCH larger one, and a large percentage of that population enjoys MMO.
the way they’re thinking is why not please a bunch more people and make a lot more money.
while it may seem we are, in reality we arnt that big of a portion of the Star Wars kingdom. which in essence, is who EA is trying to please.
Ar'ika on Sun, 7th Dec 2008 3:46 pm
Think of it this way. The majority of the people who buy starwars games no nothing about the starwars universe apart from the movies and any other games that they play. They general picture given off is a cool sci-fi game where you can blow stuff up with high tech weapons and have supernatural powers. When kotor one came out, it was a shock to everyone, rather than control the fighting (which you don’t actually do, you know we just select the attack etc.) you control EVERYTHING else. There came a point where it became less of a game, and more of a choose your own adventure story. I wouldn’t be surprised if someday, someone made the game into a book or movie, hey, there’s a kotor graphic novel series so why not? I myself am a reader and I find myself easily immersed in stories involving mandalorian stuff, like Karen Traviss books (Bonus points to whoever knows what I’m talking about). So we are left with this great game/story that we control! We are the authors! we all know there are many different paths to take in the games, so imagine if all of these great kotor players got together and controlled a gigantic starwars universe!!!! Not only that, but games like Runescape and WoW have been going on for years and they still get knew players. Imagine if this game lasted for decades. Millions of storylines that originally got us attatched to this game with millions of “authors” and at least a couple new ones joining ever day. We’re talking some serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ right there. Yeah a single player mode would be good, not just good, but great! The fact is they are listening to us and they think they are doing this for our own good. They could create the bestselling most fun game of the year, but why not the decade? For people who know what went on in the times of the Old Republic, or even just diehard players of Kotor1 and 2, we should be helping Lucasarts or Bioware/Ea or whoever the hell it is with storylines. We know what happened. we know what should happen. If they’re listening, lets give them an earful. After all, its the player who creates his own story, thats one of the reasons we buy the game. It makes sense that we should be able to…I dunno i’m off on a tangent…we should be able to…choose what we should be able to choose from? Whatever. If anyone has read this far i honestly forgot what I was writing about. If the force is strong with you, hopefully you get what I’m getting at. As for who the hell I am, just a fan. And an ex-co leader of a swbf2 clan. I’m waiting Bf3. “*snort* good luck with that.” That’s what you’re thinking right? ahaha. peace.

As a fan of both KoTOR and MMOs, I’ll have to say I’m indifferent to Bioware’s decision to make KoTOR 3 an MMORPG.
From a financial and statistical standpoint, it’s a perfectly right decision. Blizzard makes (approximately) 150 million dollars a month from subscription charges alone from its 10 million players. Many game companies want to get into that market, so it’s not surprising that Bioware made this decision. Playing as part of a group seems to be more enjoyable than playing as an individual, at least in the eyes of most people. When people’s goals can be seen by others players, it can provide a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. This is something a single player game can not compete with. There were even people who thought Blizzard was making a huge mistake forcing the rest of the Warcraft series into an MMO genre. Millions of new fans and billions of dollars later, those people shut up. More importantly, though, is that the MMO genre usually only appeals to the casual fans, not the hardcore fans. Our problem is that the casual fans outnumber the hardcore fans by a very, very large factor. They (as in Bioware) could make the argument that they’d be appealing to their fans by making it an MMO by that logic since they’d be taping into a huge (and new) fanbase.
However, KoTOR was never about group-based activities. All the decisions in the game revolved strictly around the individual; you. The storyline, characters, and everything else was chosen at the whim of the user. Both KoTOR storylines revolved around the main character having a very, very important role in what they did. It just isn’t the same experience when you have hundreds of ‘main’ characters.
Nevertheless, I will buy KoTOR 3. I may disagree with Bioware’s decision to make the game an MMO, but they have yet to let me down. After all, I was one of the Blizzard fans who said that WoW would be a disaster. I was wrong then, and I could very well be wrong now. Any true KoTOR fan should at least give KoTOR 3 a try when it comes out. You’d be surprised how inexpensive $15 a month can seem when you’re having a lot of fun. At least one can hope that’ll be the case for KoTOR 3.
meltingman on Mon, 8th Dec 2008 1:36 pm
I was led to believe that this MMO thing wasn’t actually the next in the KotOR series. After all it isn’t called “Knights” at all, just “Old Republic.” I think we’re still going to be getting our KotOR 3, but after they finish doing this MMO disaster. They look at Warcraft’s $$$$$$$$$ and get jealous.
As to why they don’t listen, why should they? After all we only pay the money to buy the games and keep them (the fatcats) flying their jets and “earning” their six-figure paychecks (at least). If you really think they care what we think, then you’re lost in a fantasy you can’t wake up from. They don’t listen because they don’t care. Period.

Looking back on this… well aside for the spelling errors….. I think I wrote something about something that was definitely not pointless, yet I wrote without a point…yeah…
lucerin on Mon, 8th Dec 2008 7:56 pm
We have been waiting for the 3rd one to come out for years. This is basically a kick in the pants to all the fans. If they wanted a star wars mmo they should have based it on a different context. This sucks. I dont want to get caught up in a mmo. Some of us have jobs and lives and dont have time to compete with the kids who sit around all day playing. So not fair.
Andrew on Tue, 9th Dec 2008 4:29 am
They’re not listening to us because they don’t need to. They know what they want in the game (and to see in the game), and what they can and can’t put in it. Besides they use the feedback from the other/previous games they’ve done to decide what they are going put into the game anyway. It’s their decision, and quite frankly if the game is a bad seller then it’s their problem.
Seano on Tue, 9th Dec 2008 11:08 am
What an MMO does for these companies is generate disgusting amounts of revenue. Not only do they receive gains from the one time purchase price, but also a monthly fee that given the negligible costs involved with running such an enterprise, guarantees a generous ROI (return on investment) even if the game is terrible and most people only subscribe for a month. This is “good” business, plain and simple. Companies are in business to make money, this isn’t supernatural. To say that they don’t care about what their customers think is hardly accurate –put simply, with a product that has already garnered sufficient buzz and previous revenue, the question of “what will our customers think?” does not even factor into their decision making process. And why should it?
Outcesticide on Wed, 10th Dec 2008 7:28 am
The main reason their doing this is because it doesn’t matter to them if it fails or is great, either way they’ll make a lot more money then just making an RPG, even the crappiest MMO makes more money then a RPG gone platinum. like the rest of you i strongly disagree against an MMO, but im guessing this isnt BioWares’ fault its probably EA’s error(for those of you who dont know EA bought out BioWare because BioWare was going under), they always tend to screw every game they can sink their claws into. This game is in the companies best interest not the player’s interests, so with that said EA can eat s#!& and die.
Zack on Wed, 10th Dec 2008 9:06 am
The reason that they are not listening to us is more than likely because they have a set idea, they have had people talk to them about their ideas and it is far too late to go back on. In my opinion they should have taken a vote and gone 2 ways, a single player and a MMO or even have an MMO with single player capability that can lead you into the MMO when you wish to finally merge into the mainframe of the MMO.
RDB on Thu, 11th Dec 2008 7:31 am
Obviously it’s too late to go back now, it’s all been done and it wouldn’t be ethical to go back to square one. But this is only going to damage the game play. Imagine a Kotor without the ebon hawk, without cinematic scenes or without a decent ending cause we all know that they’ll leave the ending even more unsatisfying than Kotor2 because they’ll want to sell expansions. So anyone who believed that they’d be discovering mystical dark secrets beyond the outer rim will be doing it without any level of role playing because we all know what MMO’s are like, we’ll have to put up with reading dialogue boxes and go fetch missions until we get a very inconclusive ending.
Someon3 on Sat, 13th Dec 2008 11:57 am
Why they are not listening to us? Well, it’s not us who decide, they’ve already made up their minds, and if we look at what they already said, they have been waiting for this chance ever since they started making games, the chance to do an MMO. Well another reason I think is the fee you need to pay in order to play. So if u want to play they make sure you pay, and they can see how many ppl like it or not.
But oh well, I hope they will release a single player version, though there are VERY LOW chances. They kinda messed it up, cuz IMO much more ppl like the idea of having a single player one, but they like the idea of having lots of players interact and play together on their server, paying them!
greets, Someon3
Someon3 on Sat, 13th Dec 2008 12:06 pm
Ah, and another reason is the “massive story content” in the game. They said they have a huge amout of story content, a very big storyline. So they can’t put it in a single player. And, c’mon, single player is TOTALLY DIFFERENT than online playing (MMO). In Single player u basically do the same things as always, while MMOs also differ very much but it’s still more free, it’s “freeroam”
So that’s why they wanna have it as an MMO, because when interacting with other players u make many decisions which can play a vital role in your own “saga”, taking decisions that will affect ‘you/your character’.
The rest…..I think u got the point, if not, google “MMOs” and play more MMOs till u get it

I was really angry, though not surprised at all, by the announcement of an MMO Old Republic game rather than a legitimate single player sequel. I’ve calmed down some since then. I still won’t be playing this game, though I know a lot of people enjoy them, MMO’s just aren’t my thing.
All I want now is for someone at Lucasarts or Bioware or Obsidian to say that the Knights of the Old Republic series will eventually get a real single player sequel. We’ve already lost the Jedi Knight series, lets not lose Kotor too.
Fox on Sat, 13th Dec 2008 4:41 pm
To Someon3: MMO’s aren’t the only games that are “freeroam”. A couple of examples of non-MMO freeroam games: the Grand Theft Auto games, or The Elder Scrolls series. Both are very good and very successful. Kotor 3 could have been done freeroam w/o being an mmo. Then again why does Kotor 3 have to be a freeroam game anyway? I mean, it already kind of was. Sure it was a little more linear than the games I listed, but you had the option of what worlds to go to and when, as well as what side missions to do. Plus the Kotor games were amazing as they were, why change them?
I understand the choice to go MMO for TOR. MMO’s are very popular right now, and I’m sure this game will probably be a really good one. But like I said, MMO’s just aren’t my thing, and I hope that a true Kotor 3 will be made.
Podgemeister on Sat, 13th Dec 2008 11:37 pm
Why haven’t they listened to us?? Simple answer, they don’t have to, they made loads of cash from Kotor and that gave lucasarts permission to rush Kotor 2 and nearly ruined what should have been a much better game, now they are going to make loads more cash from this MMO. Thats about it, money is the reason that they wont listen to all the people that want a single player Kotor 3, they will make more this way.

I’ve played SW Galaxies, and I really don’t like the whole MMO thing, we’ll probably have to keep paying every month just to play, which really isn’t my bag. KOTOR2 was nice because it was your world, you didn’t have to share it with other players, I liked a bit of solitude, knowing that no one around me was a real human. And somehow it makes me feel so tiny being in a gigantic world full of other players.
I really hate the whole MMO thing, and unless KOTOR3 is absoloutely sensational I don’t plan on purchasing it.
Dziggy HouseM on Mon, 15th Dec 2008 3:16 pm
also the reason why kotor 2 has to much content is because lucas arts wanted game finished before x-mas…so obsidian guy’s had to do it…and they published it unfinished….why did lucas art force them to do such a thing?well we all know that plenty of kids would want it as present then….so its all about $$$…they want cash.obsidian even offered to patch kotor 2 to fix it,but lucas arts said NO.SO all the fact’s together lead’s to one point – with mmo they want nothing but $$$,and its too obvious everyone know’s it….so most of the ppl wont even buy it out of revolt….even if it is good game…Well i dont think that kotor 3 wil get mmo throne…its wow that will stay there…so just let it be…no more mmo’s plz…

Why don’t they listen to you? My reason is that they have no need. They have done their market research and planning and it must seem clear to them that MMO games are the most successful and popular games at the moment. So the developer’s mind begin whirring: “Can we combine our successful KOTOR games with successful MMO games such as WOW and SW: Galaxies?” They think “Yes, yes we can!” And why not, MMO games have the potential for expansion packs, patches and downloadable extras which will make even more money for them. And what better place to set a MMO game than the Star Wars: Old Republic Universe? It can be huge and expansive with little chance of its storyline not fitting in with the films because it is set in the past. It seems almost crazy not to do it. So, why don’t they listen to the comments of the humle consumers? There is no need and it’s too late anyway.
Ciediwo on Wed, 17th Dec 2008 7:08 pm
I really do hope that TOR does not go the way of SWG. My opinion on why BioWare, or any other major company does not listen directly to the player base in several aspects of their game goes along what they have projected from gathered data towards the end that they have been working on. Not only that but a majority of the people who comment are going to be the hardcore players, which though there are quite a few, they only make up a minority of the actual player base. I have played both KoTOR games, and absolutely love them. I have also played quite a few MMO’s in my day. BioWare having all the data that they have will do what they need to, to maintain their revenue stream. Besides, there are quite a few Star Wars Fans, put those with the KoTOR fans, and you have a large player base. there is even going to be those who are feeling jilted from the other MMO’s out there that just are not their thing. They will be looking for something new. Hopefully this will be it.
SoonerMan88 on Wed, 17th Dec 2008 8:21 pm
For me, what was great about the first two games was the fact that the game world revolved around the player. It really gave me a sense of power and importance in the game which went along great with the characters of Revan and the exile. The players choices changed the entire game, and I can’t see that happening in this game. In the MMO format, you’re just another one of millions doing trivial tasks without any real ending. And about what was said about finding out about what happened in the first two games, I’m most upset because this game may take away that opportunity. By setting it 300 years later, nothing new and exciting can be revealed in a new single player game that wouldn’t have already happened in this MMO game. I don’t see a satisfying ending coming to the REAL KOTOR franchise.
Dan on Thu, 18th Dec 2008 8:19 am
First of all, you can’t really call this game KOTOR3 because it clearly isn’t. It’s not a continuation of the first two games. If it had kept the story-line I might have been more accepting of it. I wanted a conclusion to the story. I don’t like the fact that Revan just disappeared. They went with an MMO because they are greedy. MMO’s are popular right now so they saw an opportunity to make money. The problem is that they took a perfectly good and profitable game series and ruined it because they thought they could make a few extra bucks which is a shame. I just hope their greed comes back to haunt them.

This MMO is a complete disgrace to the Kotor series. Kotor isn’t and a online game and was never suppose to be. Kotor1 left so many plots unfinished. Kotor 2 fixed some of them but not all. A MMO is going to ruin Kotor it won’t fill up any gaps in the plots from 1 and 2 there will be no plot to it at all. I hope they go into debt for ruing a great game series because i am not paying 15 bucks a month to play a game that has no plot, and nothing to do with Kotor1 and kotor2
Oww well i guess one of the best story line plots ever in a game is going to die with a MMO just because they want a little more money
Lancane on Sun, 21st Dec 2008 6:03 am
Hahaha…this is hilarious, over half of you will not be allowed to play this because your mommies can not afford it! Hellooo…the economy. Blizzard Entertainment has recently released a statement stating that MMO gaming will take a huge hit compared to single player RPG games because of the economy, two software companies currently developing MMOs’ have suspended production and pushed production on other titles. Why do you think Conan the Hyborian Tales is being pushed back for release on the 360 while the Witcher RPG’s are being pushed forward….’ding, ding, ding’!
Many family expenses are being cut, some as far as cable or going with different internet providers. And you think they will want to pay money so their child can play online monthly? I don’t think so, right now WOW is the king and I guarantee their production cost to stay that way will remain minimal because they are making extensions and not a base game, add in that World of Warcraft the movie is getting ready to go into production, they will likely stay atop the MMO world. The losers from this debacle are the gamers, more fans wanted an RPG they got an MMO, and let alone that it is a PC based game, Kotor and Kotor II were made by console fans, not PC fans. They were not even going to make a PC version till it became the hottest title on the XBOX!!!
They are not listening to us because they have not felt the loss…Galaxies made money till many said it was crap, they think they can revamp off that…lol. No, the losers are the gamers, when they cannot play and the money is gone, they will be forced to cut the production of future titles and eventually they will be as they were before the XBOX, making hit and run titles with a gem every other ten games…

I hate the fact that this is an mmo,And I would say that about 70 to 80% agree with me.So you say you can’t please everyone, why not please 70 to 80% of us.Kotor 1&2 were great games, but you shoud make kotor 3 first.then after you finish the third installment, you can make an mmo. It’s an everybody wins sittuation

i have no idea why a successful series,(in format)will be changed other than greed.I have played Kotor 1&2 many times(and all alignments) and its nice to just turn on a game console and have a “mini-vacation”…No stress and at your own pace and on your own time with no interferance.I think they made a mountain out of a mole hill. All they needed to do was create 2 games…..Kotor 3 the light path, and Kotor 3 the dark path.I would rather pay for 2 games and have the continuity from the previous games intact.
I bought “Force Unleashed” and never passed 1 hour of playing before pitching it.Seeing how fast i can do button combinations is boring and I refuse to do it just to see the story line unfold…..major FAIL!
Kotor 1&2 are intellectually stimulating as well as challenging and i cannot see the point of ruining a formula that works for thousands of its fans/followers only to alienate them for a differant kind of gaming crowd.
i had been holding out on buying a new gaming console just to see what Kotor 3 would come out on and buy both at the same time……looks like i’ll be saving some money by not getting either……..
sad……………..

Is anyone really surprised that something with George Lucas’ name on it is being raped? They have completely bastardized the star wars franchise in the last ten years. I loved KOTOR 1 & 2 and continue to play them over and over again but I hate MMOs and the culture that has developed around them. I will not ever purchase a KOTOR MMO and will instead prefer to reminisce and mourn the death of a once great line of video games.

in my opinion kotor 1 was the best game i’ve ever played, so you can imagine that when I say kotor 2 was a bit disapointing, but overall both games were really amazing. If they made another single player kotor it would be amazing and people would play for years to come, but it would inevitably end. Thats why I think an MMO would be outstanding because if you actually think about it then it makes total sense. like i said before a campaign would be great, but it would eventually end. an MMO on the other hand would go for years. It would also definitely pass WoW because there are SO many more Star Wars fans than anything. a Star Wars MMO would introduce so many more people to the Star Wars saga and it would spread like wildfire. Star Wars would be even more worldwide reknown than it already is. Star Wars The Old Republic is going to be phenomenal. I CANT WAIT
